Does anybody know where I can find the picture in my icon in a bigger format on the interwebz? And is there a title to this piece of artwork?

I'm sorry if this isn't allowed here, and the mods are free to delete this post if it's not but I wasn't sure who else to ask as this is a witchy piece of art :)

It's called "The Magic Circle" by John William Waterhouse, a very prominent Pre-Raphaelite artist. Put that into any google search and you'll find some great quality pictures.

You're welcome!
I suggest looking at his other work too. He does beautiful stuff. Most of the Pre-Raphaelites do.

I am definitely going to do this! I've loved this icon since first seeing it but never knew who the artist was.

Love your icon as well :)

Have any other pre-raphaelite artists that you'd recommend?

Thanks!

Hrmm... Let's see, I like Dante Gabriel Rossetti, and Fredrick Sandys, who did a GORGEOUS painting of Morgan Le Fay. Millias is another one that comes to mind.

Waterhouse is the best in my opinion.

Personal favorite of mine, don't forget Edmund Blair Leighton :)

Definately Millais! He's my favourite! Check out his painting of Ophelia :)

Also Waterhouse's painting of The Lady of Shalott.

Some beautiful artists from the Pre-Raph movement!
