(no subject)
It's only the second week of school, and I'm already going to lose my mind. I don't understand how things got so complicated so quickly. Between work and marching band, I have one free night a week. But the home work piles up regardless...and of course, so do household chores. But the things is, that's all mom and dad care about. Why aren't the dishes done? When are you going to do more laundry? Why do you think you can leave your room such a mess? Who's going to babysit your thirteen year old brother? Have you watered the flowers today? Why aren't you ever home? Well, let's see. Maybe the dishes aren't done because you guys keep USING them, and the laundry isn't done because you guys WEAR clothes, and maybe I LIKE my room dirty!!! Well, maybe not that last one. But seriously, I have too many chores for the amount of time I actually spend at home.
Anyways, marching band is coming along. We're making some definite progress. But since when did the season feel so short? Seriously, we're already almost done. It kinda bums me out that we're not going to Rosemount this year, but I suppose that's out of my hands. But I don't think I can force myself to do drumline this year. I just can't see it as being a very good idea this year. I might appreciate it in the end, but during the season I would have no fun, because I would just be thinking of all the homework that's still sitting at home. I know tons of other seniors "managed", but since usually "managing" requires less that five hours of sleep a night, I don't think it will be okay.
But, I am starting to look for some music to play for clarinet choir this year. I'm going to start that soon. That's a smaller commitment thing, and I think it'll be fun. Louise, where are the christmas books we used?
Concert band so far has been fine. Mr.s Richter picked some good music, not to hard and not too easy. We're playing my favorite is Malaguena, because I finally had time to work on those solo crudenzas. The runs at the end are going to take some work, though, because they have to be in time. But man will it sound cool when I get it down!
But, its bedtime.
