satisfying job? no I think not.
Ok so I work for the state of Louisiana. What in my job description does it say I HAVE to have a boss whose boyfriend (shes married btw)stays in the office all day? Why is she allowed to enjoy the company of her little male friend (and I mean screw whenI say company)or sit on the front porch with him, chatting, smooching, makingout....Question is...should I report this recurring incident (because it affects MY job performance)or should I just let it slide because (as everyone keeps telling me, its just a state job.) or should I speak with the person above her? I come home from work with a HUGE chip on my shoulder because, as the computer is burning out, and the "helpdesk" worker cant figure out why my login name and password hasn't been working since I began this job, and people are constantly in need of my service the entire time I'm there. Why am I being told by EVERYONE, let it slide its just a state job....let it go, because its just a state job, relax no one cares...its a state job. IS THIS WHY LOUISIANA SO BACKWARDS? NO one gives a freaking fuck when it comes to doing a good job. there is no pride, there is no instruction, and there is no constant in anyway the jobs that need to be done. If I'm gonna work for pennies, as I am now, I would feel better if I were feeling fullfilled. Now I just feel like shit. The job is crap. I was even told that if the "retarded" girl can do this job I can. gee thanks for your confidence in my performance.
