Yesterday, Elizabeth Sladen died at 63. She is most well known for protraying Sarah Jane, a long time companion on Doctor Who. I don't have any icons or pictures of her, because truth be told Sarah Jane was never a favorite of mine.
But Liz Sladen was always wonderful.
She struck me as, and many of her co-workers described her as, a professional, a joy, a wonderful person. This is the first time in a long time that a celebrity death has felt at all personal, shocking, and depressing.
Good bye, Sarah Jane. Good bye Liz.
EDIT: And going through my e-reader
Dork Tower just
broke my heart all over again.
