They are coming to take me away....
Lanna: Lena! You are here. Where have you been?
Lena: I just escaped for a short time.
Lanna: How long have you been missing?
Lena: Well, It started this summer. First they would take me and hold me for a few days but I could sometimes sneak away and come here. But I haven't been here since Early November. They've been holding me hostage all this time. I finally escaped again and came here tonight and commented on some old posts between November and today. But I know they are going to take me back. I only hope they don't keep me as long this time. But they will get me. I know they will.
Lanna: Oh No! That sounds horrible. What is it like there.
Lena: Well, they keep me very busy. I have to fight Dragons and Vampires and Pirates. I have to feed tons of fish and clean their water every day. Then there are the fairies. I have to plant flowers for their garden and then keep them watered.
Lanna: Wow, what kind of place is this? Do they at least pay you?
Lena: Well, I don't get money, but I get things like virtual gold. But I have to spend it all on water for the gardens and land for the Dragons or things to help me fight against the Vampires or other Pirates. It is a lot of work. About once a day they throw some scratch tickets to me and I sometimes win credits from them. But I can only spend the credits on virtual items. They aren't even real. Its not like they are giving me anything I can buy groceries with.
Lanna: Oh my. You must be exhausted.
Lena: I am. Sometimes I don't even get a chance to sleep.
Lanna: Is there anything good that happens to you there?
Lena: Well sometimes I find pretty cards and am able to steal them from the rats.
Lanna: Rats? What kind of planets do these Aliens take you to?
Lena: Aliens?
Lanna: Well what are they? The people who take you away and hold you hostage?
Lena: Its FaceBook.
Lanna: FaceBook? I just joined that.
Lena: Oh no!
Lanna: How do they keep you from coming to LJ? I haven't had any problems.
Lena: You just wait. Be careful.
Lanna: Lena, it is just a website.
Lena: Its more than that. It is a lifestyle. They prey on people with OCD and once they have you they keep you there. Clicking and clicking and clicking.
Lanna: Hmmm, maybe you need an intervention.
Lena: Not possible. My job is on the computer and facebook.com is always just one click away. Its too late for me. I'm in too deep. IN fact as soon as I click on the post button here, they will come for me and take me back. Maybe I'll see you over there later.
