Trick or Treat
Lanna: Hi Emma, how was your weekend?
Emma: Oh, it was good. Jumpie and I celebrated the 15th anniversary of our first date.
Lanna: Very nice. How did you celebrate?
Emma: Jumpie let me buy him some socks.
Lanna: I...uh...that's nice of him, I guess.
Emma: He's very fussy about his socks. I used to not be allowed to buy him because he couldn't trust me to get the right ones. They'd be boring, or too heavy or two long. But now, after 15 years, he finally trusts me to buy them on my own.
Lanna: How romantic. What's for encore? You buy him a new toothbrush?
Emma: No, he hates the toothbrushes I buy him.
Lanna: Maybe it's toothbrushes at 20.
Emma: I could only dream of it.
Lanna: I think I could use a toothbrush right now to brush away some of this gooey sweetness.
Emma: It is rather nauseating, isn't it?
Lanna: Rather.
Emma: Oh well.
Lanna: Happy Anniversary anyway.
