St. Stephen
Spent some time with my father on the weekend. He’s doing well. They (Dad and Carol) took me out to a Chinese place that was rather good. St. Stephen is rather boring though. There are no book stores and in many ways the retail business is dead there. There is really nothing to do. There are no universal wireless networks and the library is closed on Saturdays. Got to check out the famous Mardens on Sunday. It’s basically a discount warehouse. Managed to get 14 movies for 24 dollars. Most of them old Kung-Fu movies. I did get a 3 disk set remastered wide screen special edition of Terry Gilliam’s Brazil for 4.95. Not bad. Unfortunately they had no real horror movies.
Thought about going out to check out the nightlife, something I would never normally do, but I felt a little restricted in what I could do so I didn’t bother. Though I really enjoyed hanging out with Dad and for a while my sister who left early, overall the weekend was kind of meh.
