Hoping for an ok Halloween
Played a board game called Descent last night with the guys. It was nice to hang out with members of the old guard like McGraw, Pat, Julian, Aaron and Brad even though I suck at playing board games. Mike provided free beer and Julian had free beef jerky… Awesome.
Enjoyed hanging out with everyone and there were lots of laughs and sillyness. Wish the game had been better though. Next time I think I'll just hang out and draw while everyone else plays. I would have been just as effective in the game as I was last night. Plus I would be drawing which I never seem to do anymore.
My self-esteem has been at a low point lately. I've just felt like a heaping pile of suck in everyday matters. I didn't even put up a Halloween wallpaper until today. Halloween is one of my favourite times of year but this year I have a hard time feeling it. Just about everything lately feels kind of dull and grey. Could be the time of year in general I guess. I'm not a fan of Fall. It just heralds harder times ahead.
When Heidi visited last week she brought me a tiny food processor. Thanks Heidi, you really didn't have to. I'm using it to chop up Ripley's food. It almost liquefies it which is pretty gross. The things I do for my cat.
Hoping to watch a Horror movie or two tonight if I can.
