Whoa
Havent been on in a while... Actually not many people seem to be online so I gave up sitting at the computer to chat when I'm at home. Doods, I'd love to hang out, just tell me when!
haha, so other than almost killing myself with fireworks it was an interesting 4th. I've never really done any big stuff, just pop itz or whatever and sparklers and the little stuff. Yesterday, though, my mom is in Africa so we weren't doing much so I spent the night with Ben, and we launched mortars and shit. YEA!
Well, I guess its cool, I'd rather not get that close to death every year, but yeah. We had a funny incident with the first mortar. Its snow-globe shaped and you should set it ball up so that it actually flies upward out of the tube. Ben unwound the fuse, and of course didn't realize the hook on top was so you lower it into the launch tube facing upward. huh. Needless to say, it didn't go UP before it exploded, but it was still hella cool!
I swear my kids are getting nowhere near these things until they're in High School. And even then, they're not going to do it ALONE.
So yeah, past the fireworks we just battled with swords and of course, beat the crap outta each other with plastic lightsabers. Hopefully I can learn to wield my own sword sorta well, mostly you'd want to defend in a fight anyway, so its hard to practice on my own.
To anyone who I haven't gotten to yet... you HAVE to hear the song 100 Years by Five For Fighting, I can't tell you how obsessed with it I am. Was. I dunno, haven't heard much music recently. That and Evanescence has kinda taken me over for the time being, if you're interested to hear some I can send some out if you're that needy. haha. brb
