3 weeks ago I gave birth to the best thing in the world.
a squeeky, smiley, often soaked little version of me and the love of my life.
there's really no point to this entry except to express how wonderful and beautiful and full of happiness life really is.
things that have changed:
1. I'm a mom. whoa.
2. sleep. I have found that it is possible to function on 6 hours of very broken sleep, I oddly have more energy now than I have ever had in my entire life.
3. surprises. Gabriel and I play a game everyday. we call it 'you'll never guess when I'm going to throw up or poop/pee all over you!'
4. my heart. did you know that when you give birth your heart actually grows 3 or 4 times the size it once was? it totally comes in handy when you're about to get really frustrated over something silly like exhaustion.
5. if it's possible, my husband and I are even more in love than before.
6. lots and lots and terrifying and scary scenerios play out in my head everyday. things that help this problem would be stop watching Law and Order Special Victims Unit. it makes your imagination run wild and you stop answering the door.
it feels good to post about happy things. I think people like to focus on what's wrong in their lives rather than what's right. logically, if you focus on the good life isn't quite so daunting anymore. there's not enough time to dwell on things you cannot control. for instance I think about time a lot, like how much of it will I have with Michael. God's funny like that. turning something precious and rare into something potentially horrific.
Paul, I'm sorry to hear about Daisy. she was really cool, really big, and really yellow. I'm sure she's chasing that killer rabbit in doggy heaven and having a great time.

ELEVEN: Do you shop at hollister/abercrombie & fitch/ae?: not unless they're having one of those "ok, we give, we'll mark stuff down to regular retail price" sales

THIRTEEN: Do you ever wish you were 5 years old again?: no. not unless I can skip a few things.
FOURTEEN: What is your favorite day of the week?: Sunday because I have both men all day.
