So, I'm now playing Darien over at taxonomites and it's wonderful being in the same RP as Silver again. Everybody in the game is lovely and I am overjoyed at the fact that it has a Stargate cast.
Which leads me to the fact that sg_dressing is active and I'm actually playing over there with my AU Sheppard and my fail Daniel. I need to go through my boxsets and cap for Sheppard, McKay, and Lorne so that they have semi-decent icons instead of the crappy ones or the lack of icons they have right now. I'm somewhat intimidated by the fact that I'm playing from a series with a large fandom like Stargate, although there aren't many people who RP from it. Oddly enough, I never really had that issue playing MGS characters, probably because I played Liquid and Solidus and a non-canon Snake like three English speaking people know the canon for.
I've been keeping an eye on Stargate Universe and despite my initial hate for it, I'm starting to think that fandom's just pulling a fit like they did with Atlantis. People are calling it Stargate Galactica because it's ship-based and character driven and happens to use kinda the same camerawork for it. As long as they don't do anything stupid like Galactica did, I'm cool with it. I'm really looking forward to the series possibly having a crazy might be evil scientist as one of the main characters. Now that would be interesting.
