But since no one's reading this anyway, I won't even place it under a f-lock this time. Not that it's important. Yet.

From what I know they're still there but maybe people have wandered over to the Nano forums? I mean, LJ has quieted down a lot and many of the LD users have drifted over to DW and I suppose there is a LD comm there somewhere but I am rather happy at the Nano forums, mostly, I think, because the Nano forums are, all in all, friendlier than many of the LJ comms. Maybe you should become a member to get full access to the forums. It's not like you absolutely have to win or even take part. Many people only sign up because of the forums.

Hm... I think it's not too hard to voice an opinion without spoilers :D

1. I think Michael as a person could be more interesting. Right now she reminds me of Seven of Nine and since I didn't particularly like Seven but I like Michael... I'm a bit on the fence when it comes to her.

2. Lorca. HELL, LORCA! He is great! I mean, many people hate him but to me he is the most interesting captain since.... ever? Think Garak being reborn as a Starfleet Captain and that's all I'm going to say about him.

3. Lt. Stamets is more interesting than I initially thought. Same with Tilly.

4. Klingons. I hate Klingons. The most boring sometimes-villains-sometimes-allies in ST history. Now they are doing their best to make them interesting but it doesn't really work for me. I just read that at least now we will get an explanation why they are getting hairier as the centuries progress. I'm looking forward to that at least :/

5. Saru. I saw on AO3 that people are writing fics about him. WHY?! ;_;

So, yeah, that was a non-spoilery digest of my opinions when it comes to Discovery.

And before I forget: HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! *throws confetti* ^.^

Hmm, these are both good options to check out. I don't know if I'll properly participate in next year's Nano, it's sort of a big jump from science reporting to real fiction again, but - at least the forum is there to check out, as you say :D

Klingons - more boring and overused than Borg, by now? I got so tiiiired of the Borg by the end of Voyager.

So it sounds like overall I should definitely at least give it a try. I'm just about to start season 2 of B5 so...perhaps I can sneak it in first :D

woooo birthday confetti! I...had to double-check the timestamp, I genuinely forgot it was my birthday last month x___x I need a week of nothing but sleeping...
