Oh du fröhliche... (German insiders should laugh now)
So it looks like we (means my parents, the cats and I) will be alone this Christmas as my grandfather refuses to drive the 200 km down here in Christmas traffic and possibly bad weather (what I can understand) and my grandmother refuses to have anything to do with any vehicle that runs on tracks. Because it's inconvenient, no matter that my father said he'll pay for the taxi ride to the central station and we'd pick them up in Munich. But nope. Not going to happen with The Dragon. And my mother refuses to drive to Stuttgart because, well KITTEHS! Also, every time we celebrate with my grandparents, my grandmother is going crazy with the preparations and that often involves self-created health problems (two years ago, she almost broke her arm trying to lift the goose from a bad angle and four years ago she slipped in tke kitchen, bruised her hip and had to use a cane for two weeks afterward). I can't say I'm inconsolable but of course my grandparents do everything now to guilt-trip my mother. Which doesn't really work. At least they will have my aunt and my cousin.
OK, change of topic! Somewhat, that is.

The Plushy one inspecting the Advent wreath (which is the same one as last year, with the addition of the green blob in the middle which happens to be a frog. Yes. My mother thinks it's funny, so who am I to argue. Still... O_o.
