AAARGH GOOGLE WHAT THE FUCKING HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU?! WHY WON'T YOU SAVE MY SETTINGS AND ALWAYS SEND ME BACK TO YOUR GODAWFUL GERMAN PAGE?! WRYYYYY?!
Seriously, what the hell? I accidently clicked on the teeny-tiny "Deutschland" button (don't ask, long story) and now, whatever I do, Google will always send me back to the German site! I know, this is meant to be helpful but I hate the German interface! It's like with Photoshop, I can't find jackshit on the site and idgaf whether pages are in Germany or in German or whatever, so stop offering me to find them, Google! When I want to find pages in German I freakin type my search string in German, damnit!
In the Old Days you just set your preference to English and that was it! And now it took me ten minutes to find the stupid preferences-page (because, you know, cluttered German interface and shit) and now it won't stick! Do you have to be logged in with some Google-account (that I don't have, for good reasons) to have your friggin preferences stick or what? And no, it's not the cookies. And it can't be the browser either because my Firefox is set on British English and has been for many years.
Yeah, I know I can get awfully vulgar when things don't go my way and I'm really sorry, but, hey, this isn't some random site that refuses to do what I want, it's f***ing GOOGLE! I need this to function! D:
Edit: OK, so I found a temporary solution by setting http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=en as the default homepage of the browser but, really, this shouldn't be the only way, right? I mean, what if something like this happened someone who is really helpless with this stuff (like, say, my mother)? What do the Powers That Be think what they'd do?! ~_~
