Ranty rant is ranty
Did I ever mention I hate snow? Yes? OK, so here for the 2200th time: I hate snow! And I hate shoveling ten inches of snow from the door of the garage in order to free the damn car! Every day! Because my mother's back is not what it used to be and my father is generally useless even if he is not at work. ARGH! (I mean, I'm not even driving the damn car. I have to walk to work and back every f*cking day because the trains are not running since apparently snow 50 km from the Alps is unheard of. Just that, you know, we have snow every year, just, admittedly, not so much so early in winter. Since, technically, it's not even winter yet. And I'm ranting about it every year. Only this year I don't have to use the train, though it would be more convenient, and they don't get any money from me for their shitty "service". Ha!)...
So I'm still offline a lot because this computer annoys me so but at least it looks like the new motherboard will arrive before Christmas. I spent most of my time working, reading and baking cookies. One of my co-workers broke her elbow and that means that I can haz more work. As for books, I re-read The Mortals Instruments and now for some weird reason I don't find Clary as annoying as I used to. I also read Valor's Choice by Tanya Huff, albeit reluctantly because I'm not enthusiastic about her fantasy and urban fantasy books. Verdict: I definitely like her SF more. It might have to do with her space-elves, though *LOL*.
On the cookie-front, I made peppermint!moose (I bought a moose cookie cutter! How cool is that?) and marzipan cookies. I even made photos but I can't upload them because they are too large and I wouldn't dare to inflict Photoshop on this computer (I mean, it lags when loading Winamp! WINAMP!). I know, yeah, there are other programs I could use but no one wants to see my cookies anyway, they'd be there for my own reference only *lol*.
Um, Usi, by Wednesday at the latest you should get a parcel, too! ;)
