OK, so I noticed that there are still quite a lot of people who are searching for my Winskins here via the tags. And I feel bad for not uploading the new ones here first like I used to. But if I did I'd feel bad for cluttering the pages of my friends' f-lists. So instead I decided to use this entry to show the new skins to the rest of the world. I hope everyone is happy now ^^;; And, btw, if you're here looking for the old skins that used to be hosted on starry-sky.net, just drop me a comment or an e-mail. I have them all archived, nothing is lost. Yet.
Well, Nue. I never wanted to skin him (again) but he somehow happened. Despite the fact that it's a little ugly and the colours don't really fit together (yet they do) I like it. Also, it's a lazy skin but I didn't want to hide Nue's pretty face.
Superficial, I know.
HAHA, LJ, I TRICKED YOU! Guess what, I can still upload pics, even if I still use the ancient system! I HAVE MY WAYS! =D
Ahem... yeah. Tsuzuramaru. Normally I hate grungy skins but I think this turned out pretty well. And a sparkly skin for Halloween featuring a zombie-bishie (oh, come one, the game came out in 2013 - by now everyone should know what he is, right?) would have been, well, weird, ne?
I don't have much else to say; I wanted to make a skin with a kitsune as inspiration for this year's Nano (don't ask) but I didn't find an appropriate image. Millions of kitsune out there but not a single one pretty enough to be a proper posterboy. Oh, well, I'll probably find one by the end of November when I don't want him anymore :(
Given that I'm seriously out of practice regarding skinning this didn't turn out so bad. Or maybe I'm just biased because I like Yui & Hades.
The reason the base is so light and airy is because this was supposed to be a summer skin; I finished the base sometime in August but life became pretty hectic for various reasons (mainly work-related) so I didn't get around doing this earlier *sigh*. On the other hand, the day after tomorrow I'll leave for two weeks of Ayia Napa (again) so it's not like summer is really over for me =D
Haha, looks like my next skin will be Christmas-themed if I keep up that speed *lol*.
I think it must have been almost a decade since I made the last Clamp-skin. But, hey, how could I resist Kujaku? He was my favourite character in RG Veda!
Um... yeah, also a) first skin of the year! and b) first skin on my new computer which is why it took extra long.
Maybe I should work on a Akagami no Shirayukihime skin? To celebrate the forthcoming anime, I mean. Unfortunately, though, while I like Zen, my favourite chara is Izana and from what I know there is only one colour picture of him *sigh*.
What am I talking about Lala manga here? I should be grateful that I get more Tsubasa after all! SO THANK YOU CLAMP!
For some reason, while Tsuzuramaru has neither my favourite colour scheme nor IMO the most moving story in Ken ga Kimi, somehow he scored a skin. Or maybe it's the season (I mean, we didn't see the sun here for more than three weeks! I felt like either stuck in the perpetual dawn weeks preceeding the polar night or in that Tim Robbins film with the vikings, what'sitsname? Thankfully the sun appeared again on Monday, yay). Or maybe the fact that he is the prettiest zombie (was that a spoiler? Sorry) to ever grace my screen? Who knows.
The skin is rather simple but elegant and not even I have much to whine about. OK. Maybe I could have put more work into the playlist. But it's not like it's ugly.
And now I have to get back to my newest batch of Christmas cookies if I don't want them to get a little too crispy...

Oh, look, another pretty boy with white hair and furry ears. But it's not a Kitsune! OK, I forgot what exactly he is but he is some kind of Ayakashi (the name of the manga he's from is Momochi-san Chi no Ayakashi Ouji, which might be a hint). Also, this is the only series by Shouoto Aya that doesn't bore me to death after 20 pages. I hope this one gets translated into German since we get all of hers :)
Other than that it's a very fitting skin for April. Happy sakura season! ❀ *waves*
OK~ I do realize that this skin is awfully bright. Almost unreadably bright. You need a good monitor to see the buttons and stuff. But then, who cares about buttons? HALF-NAKED REI IS WHAT'S IMPORTANT HERE, DON'T YOU AGREE???
Ahem... contrary to what you probably think I a) watch Free! for the story and not for the bishies in various states of undress and b) my favourite is Mikoshiba but unfortunately his colour scheme sucks.
I might still make a Mikoshiba skin one day, mind you.
Well, apart from the fact that the skin isn't the best in terms of readability, I still like it a lot. I like the airy feel of it, and the colours. But the next skin is going to be darker, I promise!

This time it's Dropbox and I really tried to make it as convenient as possible (I hope the direct download link works. (oh, and btw, the game is about a girl in a Ninja-school and a curse that makes all the bishies fall in love with her and no, I'm not kidding, IT WILL BE FUN and it will be out sometime in 2014, I guess in spring. And that's all I know)
Yes yes, I know that they will wipe Winamp off the internet. And I don't care. I hate WMP, I FUCKING HATE itunes and I dislike the VLC player. I use Foobar if I have to quickly convert something and Amarok on the netbook because Linux is shitty like that. But nothing will ever replace my beloved Winamp! I suppose I will still use Winamp (and use an ancient desktop computer running on obsolete WinXP) when I turn 90 and everyone else has their players implanted or something.

The music I listened to was, of course, lots of Trance/Chill Out/Progressive House (that our current weather has basically been one long heat wave since early July helped, too, for the inspiration, I mean *lol*) and the name comes from a beautiful track by Solarstone.

Oh, well, I sort of like it. The colours, I mean. The combination of grey, black and pink is sort of classy, isn't it? I mean, if you manage to ignore the, um, questionable pose of the posterboy. Right?
Also, I doubt that this skin is going on Arashi no Umi. It'd kill the layout and I'm too lazy to re-code it.
BTW, is it just me or is the Linked Horizon vocalist's German pronounciation on Guren no Yumiya really, really good? O_o I mean, I know that the spoken parts are not his own (is that the voice actor they usually use for Robert de Niro? Like for E Nomine?) but the singing? That is... fascinating.

Damn, I wish the prettiest Amnesia-boy wasn't also the resident yandere :( I really try to have the next Amnesia skin featuring Ikki. Or Kent. Or maybe not Kent (he is sweet but SO DAMN BORING I CAN'T).
