'Cause I become a fourteen year old girl again when facing a tombstone

Took a day longer than anticipated because my grandfather made a practical joke that he later forgot was one (don't ask). The funeral went surprisingly smoothly and since I just wanted it to be over I didn't even interrupt when the, um, person (dunno how to call them in her sect and don't really care) holding the speech totally fucked up the order of my great-grandmothers husbands and pretended that my 'real' great-grandfather (husband #1) didn't exist (there were FOUR, not THREE, DUMBASS!). Anyway, the only real embarassement was probably when my cousin and I started grinning when we spotted the two (!) garden gnomes on the tomb slab of one of the neighbouring graves. Yes, you read that right - garden gnomes! I was so tempted to make a photo but didn't dare after all because my mother would have strangled me. But still... garden gnomes *shakes head*. The Germans are crazy, I tell you O_o;;

And I was somewhat amused at the sheer number of heart-shaped headstones (almost all of them from the mid to late 1990's). When I was a kid my best friend's mother told us that the heart-shaped ones belong to vampires (I think it was also in a book. Can't remember) which of course fascinated us back then. I wouldn't want one but... lol? ^^;;
