(no subject)
So today we went to watch Kingdom of Heaven and it was great! Well, the movie wasn't that great (the constant change in the battle scenes between real-time and slow-motion annoyed me. Because unfortunately Ridley Scott is no Tsui Hark) but we had a lot of fun because we're retarded (Manu's comment when Sibylla liftet the mask: "Argh! Darth Vader!". And never mind my Turko-German version of the conversation when Saladin and his generals talked... it has something to do with Kaya Yanar and Erkan & Stefan. If you don't get the joke, don't worry ^^;;). And there was Dr Bashir!!!11! Alexander Siddig! I didn't even know he was in the movie. Oh, and of course Balian, Legolas' dark twin... hey, sounds good! O_o Orli!
And of course, I shouldn't forget the real reason some people seemed to be there: The Star Wars Episode III trailer! I already downloaded it (don't say it, I know. I can't help it) but of course it's a completely different thing to see it on the big screen! I must see this movie! Hey, I got a special 'connection' with Star Wars! Star Wars - Return of the Jedi was the first SF movie I consciously saw (not in the cinema, I'm not that old) because it was the very first movie my Dad rented when we got our first VCR here.
And Usi? I went to the Hugendubel and they had both, Mermaid Melody and Eden no Hana! You'll love it because the cover is great! They made a sort of medium between Japanese dust covers and the cheapo-version we usually get and you really get a lot for your €6. Printing quality might not be as good as the Japanese version (I don't have it) but it's by no means bad and I love the cover (I read somewhere that Yuki Suetsugu drew them especially for the German version because she didnt like the Japanese originals anymore or something like that). I got Mermaid Melody too and it's the usual fare you get for €5. But as I said, seems that Eden no Hana got a special treatment ^_^. Oh, and it's in the manga section, not with the other new paperbacks. Seems they recognized them as manga, despite the publisher ^^;;
And now I need something to eat (only had a cheeseburger and a handful of fries around noon. I'm starving x_X). Due comments later.
