Agh... I have come across what is quite possibly the worst company ever to buy a book from (tip, amazon marketplace? don't go for superbookdeals) and there's nothing I can do about it since I can't exactly call the US for long periods of time right now since I'm across the pond for another three weeks... this is so unbelievable.

So. I ordered a textbook that I needed for class out here before I left from amazon marketplace. I checked the company out and I wasn't too concerned with what I found, and since the book was located in PA, i figured the book would most likely get to me before I left. Granted, I was taking a gamble-- they said the book would get here any time between 6/25 and 7/9. That's a loooong time.

So 6/30 rolls around and I'm on a plane to England sans my textbook. Not a big deal. My parents say that they'll ship it to me once it arrives. I decide that it isn't worth the money and I email the company after recieving an email asking me if I had had any problems with them. I respond with as polite as an email as I could muster telling them that their service was completely inadequate and listing the reasons why I believed that I was treated poorly. In response, I got an email stating that my reasons were false. In anger, I answered that that was not the proper way to treat a customer and that they needed to work with me for my claims. I informed my parents that I wanted the book returned as soon as possible and as soon as my mom had the book in her hands (7/10, a day after they said it would arrive), it was returned to the company in as fast as shipping as possible along with a confirmation mail to my parents telling them that the book had gotten there. It got back on 7/13. The company said to wait 3-5 business days to get my money back. 7/13 was a friday, so I figured I'd give them until today before I emailed again. Needless to say, the money has not been credited back to me and on top of that, the email that I sent to them asking what the problem was was responded to with an email requesting information that I had already provided them with.

The problem is that I know that my parents will not handle this in the way that I want them to, but also, I can't call them myself. I've already wasted enough money on this company in shipping fees, at this point I just want my money back.

Let's see what the excuse is this time. I have proof the book was recieved and it needed to be there before 7/18 and it was. I don't know what the hold up is. I just fucking want my money back.
