More Evidence of How Cool Minekura Is

So I was doing research on flower symbolism for a school project, and I came across some interesting information.  There is a type of flower called a "snowdrop" and, unlike other most of the other flowers I came across in my research that had multiple meanings, this one only had one recognized symbolism: hope.

And here I'd thought the Snowdrop arc ( Read more... )

isn't there a special meaning to every color of rose, or something like that? i like to know a little bit about everything. i think i must expand my vault of useless trivia to flower symbolism! i'm intrigued! :D

hahaha if we have them in the US, we don't have them in sunny southern california. i've never seen a real one; I didn't know there was such a flower until i came across it in my research. And, coincidentally enough, my research was on white lilies. During the Victorian era, they took on the meaning of the purity of the soul after death and are still used abundantly at funerals to this day. KM claimed her Gensomaden flowers didn't have any deeper meaning, but obviously she chose the snowdrops with their meaning in mind ( ... )

hehe!! right. one of my favorite discussions when I was studying Eastern philosophy was the idea that life is a state of reconciling paradoxes. like, non-attachment also means the ability to become attached, because it's a burden to try and close out reality, as well as the ability to let go without resentment ( ... )

well, i did fashion research for Sanzo's bride outfit, and Goku's white ST outfit elements came up surprisingly a lot. his costume appears to me to be a combination of traditional Monkey King elements (like the curled diadem, the animal skin around his waist, and the heart protecting mirror), medieval Chinese/Japanese armor (the shoulder guards and chest piece are actual styles/shapes of Chinese armor, the collar is traditional Chinese, and loin girders/baggy pants were common with samurai), and modern/fantasy elements (like the elaborate cape, the piping, the nipple tassles<--lawls). so, I don't know exactly what that means, but i'm going to hazard a guess and say it means 3 + 9 = awesome. LOL

sdvjfbvfv--gold and violet don't make white! even with light. X'D but otherwise i do like your theory. hehe shit, i got to go to sleep get those y-con pics up! there's some narrative ones showing Goku's imploring down-on-one-knee proposal and Sanzo's reluctant acceptance. haha!

ah ha, but you forget that red, yellow, and blue are the primary colors for pigments, not light. in light you need green instead of yellow, so you'd be missing a proportional piece of the spectrum. i've actually done this experiment before. go science camp! XD it's actually pretty hard to get it to work, cuz the primary colors have to be at exact frequencies, so even if purple light includes blue and yellow light includes green, alas, they wouldn't be in the right quantities to create pure white.
