Slightly B&D Fanart
This is the "let-me-f*ck-you-with-my-eyes" picture I've mentioned. XD It's for Solitaire's birthday (9/28) so it's getting colored, hence the Work In Progress tag. But I finished the 'post production' i.e. line art clean up phase, so i thought i'd share the b&w. I recommend listening to "The Beginning Is the End Is the Beginning" as you view this, heh. That song is what I had on repeat while drawing this. :d My goal was to pour a lot of intensity into Sanzo's stare. Uh, it was originally just going to be a picture of Sanzo, but apparently the "come 'n get it" vibes were so strong somehow Goku popped into the art all by himself. D:,' LOL moshesque 's 393 romance I'd read just before working on this helped, too. XD and is it just me or does my lineart of Goku look reminiscent of jibii 's style?? I suppose I can blame that on reading both Voyeur & Raven last week, even though Goku was barely in either of them, ha. I'm so impressionable!

Notes: I'm currently undecided on the color palette i'll be using for this, so suggestions welcome. i do tend to color things very literally, so I was thinking of doing this one with sort of a color cast to it. Y/N? :3
Time Taken: ummm standard 3 to 4 hours? I need to get back into the habit of keeping track of time taken. it's a good professional tactic, so you can know how long to expect to be working on certain things. :P
So lemmie know how Sanzo's expression is working for you. I spent a lot of time deliberating over the placement of (what seemed like) every line of his face! haha and I dont know what's up with Goku...he looks smug drunk... X'D
