Bloodbloodblood
He smiled as he watched the splatter paint itself across the stones of the floor, the walls; a riot of crimson that held him captivated.
Yessss...
There were significantly fewer of them now, the fun was almost over, he could feel it--more, more!--but the Friend-meats had saved the best for last. This one smelled powerful, smelled like forbidden magic better forgotten, a little like the Sun-friend-meat, and he flicked the blood from his claws with a grin.
He drew his hand upward slowly, could taste the gathering energy in the air, this was retribution for something he should have been able to remember but couldn’t, yes, and the thunder in the sky outside rumbled in agreement.
The Bad magic gathered, too, flew and cracked like a whip and it was fast, but he was faster, always faster, and he laughed as he launched himself from one crumbling wall to the next. The Tricky-meat didn’t run, didn’t move and he got closer, closer, he could almost taste the bloodbloodblood when his Prey held up two fingers, smirking.
He stopped short in surprise, blinking slowly. This was--
“No!” someone shouted, he knew that voice, and he felt the Sun-warm-familiar magic strike him in the center of the back with enough force to knock him from his feet, felt it wrap around him as the Bad magic tried to claw its way through.
Letmego, myfight, mine!
He would kickbiteshreadkill his way through, he would--! The Sun-warm-familiar made him sluggish, though, like just before he Went to Sleep and he fought it, the Friend-meats were strong--especially the Angry-vine-same? that hid inside one--but the Tricky-meat was strong, too. It had hurt the Friend-meats before.
If anything happened to the Sun-mine-meat... He would riprendtear out the Tricky-meat’s beating heart and eat it, a heart for a heart, and The Earth would tremble and scream and lend her power to her child with a Mother’s selfless grace as he destroyed it all.
