Time to breath....
Dear god, that was far too much of a busy weekend!
I feel like I have arrived at work shattered & in need of a rest.
My house has it's new stairs :P they went in Saturday. No more up ladders for me :p In fact a lot of the weekend revolved around the house & more digging ready for Wednesday was needed, wrapping stuff to protect it & running around finding stuff for the house....lights....tiles etc.
All this aside, the highlight of the weekend though was undoubtedly Dropzone!
What a banging night!
I'm pretty glad I had to rush home to get my decks after the venue failed to supply enough. the rush home & return meant I had no time to panic or feel nervous & as it turned out, and the concensus of opinion of all the people who came up to me afterwards clearly suggested it was the best set I've done to date.
Compared to August, all the mixes were a lot tighter & I was bouncing & on a total high after it. It just went right from the word go for me & there's something about having confidence that makes a huge difference.
So many people commented on the set this time I had a huge smile. Nice when things work out......and I even managed to write a play list!
Highlight of the night.....playing a tranced up muse remix, just the fucking bollox!.......
Second highlight....actually playing a track Thin Lizard didn;t know but liked.....a lot.....sorry bud, but that's going down in the annuls of history! :P
Role on next month, I just can't fucking wait.
I may even have something to celebrate that night too, as it's now 2 weeks till the due date of the new arrival!
So if you see me next month with major bags under my eyes, you'll know why :P
