Things are getting interesting in the 'house

A. Okay, I am now officially REALLY ENJOYING Dollhouse. Colour me surprised! Seriously, I wasn't that impressed with the pilot. But episode two piqued my interest. Then I saw only the last 20 minutes of episode 3, and I was just really confused. But then, tonight, I watched ep. 3 in its entirety, and then eps. 4 and 5. The last two were the strongest. I can really see this show - the larger story arc - coming together. And! The quirk is starting to come out more! I loved the lab assistant in ep. 4, the woman from Dr. Horrible. It was nice for the computer guy to have someone to talk to. That's all the non-spoilery commentary I can think of, so I'll stop there. Oh! And I love the neighbour woman - she's hot! And very effective at auditioning for the role of (sexy) Suzy Homemaker. If only her intended was paying attention. Awww.

B. The "interview me" meme, from tehballofyarn. (Comment with "Interview Me" and I will ask you 5 questions.)

1. What are your favourite musical artists/musical genres?

Indie, folk/punk; my favourite artist is AniDiFranco.

2. What is your one biggest regret in life so far?

I try not to have regrets. I figure what happened in my life made me stronger and made me who I am now. I had a little one a while ago, but I'm over it now. There are many "alternate paths" that I wonder about sometimes, but I know that everything I've done needed to happen to get me to where I am now.

3. Do you like what you are doing in school/work now? If not, what would you rather be doing?

I like it, yes. I just need more of it. (More work, that is. I'm done school.)

4. If you had one wish, and one only for anything in the world, what would it be? (You cannot wish for more wishes)

Well, I guess I should be altruistic here, eh? I guess I would wish that people could relate to one another better and easily see themselves in others' shoes, see how everything in the world is connected, that to hurt each other or the earth is to hurt ourselves and our home. Hopefully that would put a halt to a lot of war, animosity, and general inequality.

5. What are your obsessions?

I don't think I'd use the word "obsessions" about anything in my life. "Passions," maybe. Which would be: writing, pop culture (esp. tv), online communication, writing, self-discovery, learning new things, and writing.

C. An old meme: misfit87 asked: "When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?" I wanted to be many things, including: writer, teacher, book editor/designer/publisher, actor, astronaut.

memes, tv, the word of joss
