but the Secret Circle is my favourite
Anyone here remember L.J. Smith's The Vampire Diaries series? It's getting turned into a TV show. Awesome. These are among my favourite YA books.
However, I resent the implication in the title that The Vampire Diaries is anything like Twilight, let alone a Twilight copy cat. First of all, these books came out when Stephanie would have been a teen herself. Secondly, they're GOOD. Well written, and they actually have plot. The fourth book is actually as strong as the rest; it doesn't drag down the first three in its own black hole of suckiness.
I now hope to never hear people compare the two ever again. Unless they're saying how much L.J. Smith rocks and how Twilight is bitter swill in comparison.
