01. It is SUCH a beautiful day today! The weather has been crap for a solid week now, and any nice weather we've had in the last few months has stayed around for a few days at most and then run into hiding again. Which is infuriating to me, a summer lover. So after work I walked straight past my house and jaunted around for a good 30 minutes, ( Read more... )

Yay pretty days and fellow summer lovers!

-sends general thoughts of encouragement-

We do have Kit Kat and Smarties (I liked to call them "medicine" because of the way they look), but I've never seen any of the candies on your list. The area I live in has a nice mix of European, Asian, and Mexican goods and candies, but not Canadian...

What you lot call Smarties, we call Rockets (look like little pastel pills, fun to turn into powder). Our Smarties are like M&Ms, but the shell is thicker and the chocolate a bit different.

Oh. Oops.

-is not skilled in the ways of the Canadian-

We have shrimp chips! I don't like them, but my mom and some of my friends do!

No worries. I guess I should have clarified, but I figured the American Smarties candy wouldn't be a 'chocolate bar', but maybe you guys have less distinct categories (since you do call them 'candy bars').

Ewwww! Normal potato chips that are shrimp flavoured? I'll have to try them!

It's 30 degrees in my room right now. :( (That translates to almost 90 degrees American.)

The shrimp chips...hee, your risk!

Oh dear. I like heat, but sometimes it' can get too much. -sends cooling dimension in case of emergency-

Thank you! It's much better now that I have the ceiling fan on, the huge window open, and the door open. My thermometre still says 30 degrees because it's directly behind my computer and it really is that hot one foot in front of me. I also have a table fan for really really hot days. I love the ceiling fans here, it pwns hardcore.

More like a metre in front of me, I guess. 3 feet maybe? (AHHH, THE AMERICAN!) I'll have to figure this stuff out by next week. ;)

You can get funky chip flavours at Sugar Mountain. The UK variety of lays makes prawn crisps, you can get them there (sometimes).

I think you mean candy smarties right? We call those Rockets here. We have 'chocolate bar' smarties that are balls of chocolate like M&Ms.

Whoops you've already gotten that info! I linked to a wikipedia page above - our Smarties are apparently all over the world, just not in the U.S. b/c the name was already used.

It's like the metric system. And soccer, somewhat.

Thanks still!
