WHAT DO YOU MEAN WE LOOK THE TYPE? Haha, we at Supernatural salute the slash fandom. Dean's alarm that not just one but TWO strangers mistook him and his brother for gay lovers was adorable. And hawt.
OVERCOMPENSATING! Dean must have seen
these pics. XD!
The spooky dolls and that house freaked me out. I was on pins and needles the whole episode. I LOVED the banter at the beginning (see above), and that alone makes this a great episode. And then Dean "overcompensating" by making Sam out to be some big doll-collector and -dresser! The last laugh was on Dean, though, because that chick was hot for Sam at the end of the episode. Guys, dolls really do attract the dolls! *cough* Apparently.
The arc plot stuff in here was good too - drunk, angsty Sam; reluctant, grudging Dean. Nicely played.
The ending was strange in that Dean and Sam didn't really finish their job, yet they left happy and satisfied that it was over. I did like the ending itself, but I would expect the boys to be more cognizant of what (might have) happened and only leave once they were certain the danger had passed.
I'm used to downloading the show, so every commercial break I kept being surprised by people wanting to sell me things. But -- BIG PRETTY OVERCOMPENSATING DEAN FACE.
(I totally want an 'overcompensating' Dean icon now.)
Speaking of commercials, Americans: Y'alls commercials are MESSED, man. I actually watched the commercials this week (on the CW channel that's really a Fox channel on this satellite TV - I'm confused too), and every single one of them were new to me. And strange. Shiny and big and obnoxious. That Burger King "Eat like a man" hoo-ha of hypermasculine "WE EATS TEH MEATZ, CUZ WES DA MEN" commercial? SAD, MAN, JUST SAD.

Go tell me more things to take pictures of! *puppy face*
03. One thing that strikes me weird this year, weather wise, is that everyone I know (in North America anyway) seems to be getting, generally, the same weather at the same time. When it was unseasonably warm, I heard the same reports from across Canada and the United States. It seemed to be a green Christmas in most cases (I haven't heard of any white Christmases, actually). And now that it's cold and snowing like a mother, it seems to be snowing or at least really cold everywhere. It snowed in Austin, Texas, this week (WTF?), and my friends in Houston and Oklahoma are freezing their asses off. What happened to the days where the weather changed just the next town over?
04. I had the yummiest smoothie today. Not to pimp a commercial product, but, uh, you know those new
Smooth-eez things? I tried them for the first time this week. There are four servings, thankfully, because it took me four times to get the right balance of things I liked. Here's what I did (all in a blender):
- A serving (the plastic cup it comes in) of frozen Smooth-eez (mixed berry flavour)
- Two servings of vanilla soy milk
- Half serving of water and three ice cubes (6 ice cubes makes it way too cold for winter, and just water makes the consistency yuck)
The above is what they recommend for the smoothie. I added:
- One banana (gave it a great thick consistency)
- Some blueberries
- Two tablespoons of vanilla protein powder (to fill me up a bit)
I used to make a lot of smoothies, but got sick of the bases I used in the past; this seems like a good base though. In the past I've also added sunflower seeds (they grind up well), and flax seeds (don't grind up as well, so grind them with a little soy milk first before everything else). I need to get in the habit of making these again.
