Work has suddenly become incredibly slow. I'm sure that's going to change at some point when the realize how little work we actually have to do on a given evening, but for now it means I have NOTHING AT ALL to do at work and that means I update my LJ. :-D It also means I get my grocery shopping done and pay all my bills, so I suppose that's all for the better.
We have everything we need now but the animations for our machinima. I've made a few trial movies given our current setup and we get some really good looking video at really good compression with the codecs we're using. We've got the maps! We've got the elephants! I've also gotten in touch with some actors local to the LA area that would love to contribute their voices, even if it's not a paying gig. How awesome is that?
We've given our notice! Home to Texas and how wonderful it shall be! I've given the apartments to Pammy darling and she's going to check them out for me. Meanwhile, I think we're going to rent a cargo van and drive it to Houston with all our stuff and then drive it back and then drive my car home. MUCH cheaper than renting a moving van, and I get to spend hours on end in a confined space with a hot guy. Everyone wins!
On that note, Adam rocks. Working on this machinima thing can be extremely frustrating at times, and he takes my elation and/or aggravation with sweet good humor, and agrees when I say something is stupid and then convinces me not to give up. He is an excellent project partner. He's already finished the first two episodes and is working on the third. I've seen it. It's COOL.
Like I mentioned before, not a lot of work to do at work, so I'm re-establishing links with all my folks back home in preparation for departure and arrival. I'm writing again, and that feels good too. IT's something to do while the other something to do is on hold. :-D Many thanks to Pammy for feeding my hungry muse.
The kitchen is re-arranged and ready to be packed. The bank account is filling up. There's a job waiting for me at home and a bunch of people who love me. Things are falling into place. Tonight I'm going to make tacos, work my yoga DVD and then shower and snuggle with my husband. Now I think I'll go map out the courses I need to finish for my degree.
