day 01: intorduce yourself
Day 01 - Introduce yourself
Hi. I'm Samantha and I'm not an alcoholic. Seriously, I'm not. I actually hate the taste of alcohol.
But seriously. Um. I'm 19 years old and going to college in Austin, TX to get a major in Japanese. I was born in Lewisville, TX on June 23, 1991. Um. I spent most of my baby years in Denton, TX. I spent most of my kid years in the, somehow smaller, town of Kingston, TX. Which doesn't have a wikipedia to which I can link. Ummm. I moved to Celeste, TX about the time that I started Jr. High, but I'd been going to school in Celeste for my entire school life. Which was the worst experience ever.
Um. In High School, I stopped going to public school and began to homeschool. I have to say that we probably didn't do nearly as much as we could have done, but I have my diploma, so... Around the same time, I moved to Austin, TX.
For most of my life, I identified as bisexual. About a year ago, I realized that I was trying too hard to fit in to the idea that, as a girl, I should still like guys, and realized that I identify more clearly with being a lesbian. (Not that I think everyone who is bisexual is like that. Be nice to people who identify as bisexual, guys.) Um. Is that a good introduction? Well, it'll have to work as one.
And apparently I say 'um' a lot.
