Vacancy in Brooklyn
We are 3 friendly, community-oriented types, one male, two female, in our late 20's/early 30's who are looking for one more roommate to round out our household. Race/gender/orientation are non-issues; interest in creating a happy home is a must.
The room is $542 + electric: It is about 8' X 10'. It is big enough for a full-sized bed, and some shelves or a dresser. It has hardwood floors, a closet, one small window, and a door that opens onto the backyard. All utilities are included, with the exception of electricity. It comes to about $20 per person, depending on the level of use.
The apartment is BEAUTIFUL. It is the entire first 2 floors of a renovated brownstone in with a lot of the original details, plenty of space, high ceilings, and lots of light. The apartment also has a small backyard and access to the basement, where there is some storage space. One of us is vegetarian, and we'd prefer no meat cooking in the kitchen. We'd also prefer to live with people who have successfully managed living in shared space before. We do not have a TV, and there are 2 cats living here.
The neighborhood is lovely, and folks here are friendly. It's more residential than commercial - everything you need is close by (grocery, health food store, library, laundry mat, a couple of really nice cafes), but not necessarily everything you want (no bars, for example, and no Thai food). We are one block from the C train, 2 from the A, and 6-8 blocks from the LIRR. It's 30-40 minutes to the West Village.
One month's rent plus one month's security deposit are due before move-in. If you are interested in either of the rooms, please drop us a line letting telling us a bit about yourself.
