There are MAJOR SPOILERS under the cut (i.e. *big* developments in this episode!).
Wow. This episode contained some *major* revelations. First, the Ash (i.e. Laughlin (sp?)) is actually not the bad guy. He has been 'testing' Bo to see if she can control her anger... Because the big bad that is coming (i.e. the Garuda) are a type of creature (not fae!) that actually feeds on fae (actually on fae anger, violence, and other destructive emotions). Basically, the Ash is what is left of a creature whose venom was the only antidote to these creatures. And he (and all fae) need Bo to help them defeat these things, because her powers lie not in the destructive emotions but rather in feelings such as lust and passion. But in order to be able to do this she has to be in control of herself.
Meanwhile, Trick tries to induce a vision of the future, and winds-up having a run-in with the creatures in question, who have been hunting him since he stopped the last fae war by creating the peace with his blood. The war, as it turns out, had been created and manipulated by the Garuda so that they could feed and keep feeding. (So the fact that piles of fae and humans died in a war like this didn't bother them.) After his run-in in another plane, Dyson and Hale (who are watching over Trick while he undergoes his vision), wind up trying to pull him out of the vision. This ends, however, with all three of them unconscious in the basement of the Dal Riata, while the Garuda who have been hunting Trick all this time have just learned his location!...
ARGH!! Very very exciting.
The next episode will be on January 22nd. All I know is that I will be waiting with bated breath!!
Wow.
