Yep, I watch too much TV. ;-P
Here is my take on various season/show premieres.
I watched 'Heroes' and so far it looks very promising. I'll have to watch more to see where it's
going but so far it looks pretty interesting. And yes, Hiro the Japanese guy was adorable! :-)
Still having fun with 'Jericho', also. I'll have to follow these two to see what happens next there.
I also watched the season 3 premiere of 'Veronica Mars' and really enjoyed that one too. The
rapist angle is very interesting. I also hope Veronica's fears about relationships won't send her
running from Logan (Need I mention I really really really like her with Logan? LOL). She somehow
seemed a little freaked at the whole 'relationship' thing in this episode. Although otherwise
she was her usual kickass self... I love this show.
And finally, I watched the two hour season three premiere of 'Battlestar Galactica'. AWESOME!
I wonder if Ellen Tigh will bite the dust anytime soon. After this episode it seems a little more
likely. What an idiot -after this ep I couldn't help but think that while she is a manipulative
woman, she also may not be a very smart one. Although I still wonder at what exactly happened
in season 1 when that assassin was killed in his cell...
On another note, I LOVE Kara Thrace! I actually laughed when Leoben walked in, mentioning that
it was the fifth time she'd killed him -LOL. Although I wondered where things were going at the end
of the episode when she changed her mind/felt guilty about Cassie (sp?) and reached out to hold
Leoben's hand.
And fat Lee has me LOL. But I think it works: one symptom of depression can be overeating. He
certainly has been depressed lately. I still laughed when they showed 'Fat Lee in a Towel', though.
He and Dualla sound like they've had some fights. I wonder if their marriage has been a happy one,
I suppose further eps will tell us this. The issues this raises with respect to the character of Apollo are
interesting. And the father-son angle with Adama was well done.
And the Cylons on New Caprica. I still can't believe that in today's political context, an *American* TV show
has the guts to show the HUMANS as suicide bombers. Talk about role reversal! It was amazing to see
these characters we know so well dealing with the moral issues this raises when facing the very real
possibility of the annihilation of their race. Just... Argh. I referred to this as MUST SEE TV. :-)
All in all, WOW. Just WOW. IMHO, BSG has raised the bar yet again with this season premiere.
