Wow. Last night's episode of 'Lost Girl' was very cool, as was 'Once Upon A Time'.
Don't read on if you don't want to be spoiled for either or both of these shows...
Once Upon A Time: I liked the episode, as usual. I do wonder where this is going though -I do hope it won't be the same thing over and over again. In other words, this could become repetitive if every episode features a run-in between Emma and the mayor, with the latter (again) showing her control of all people in the town and Mr. Gold being creepy, as usual. While so far this type of plot has been all right since various characters have been introduced along with the way various well-known fairytales actually happened in the world they came from, it could get repetitive after a while, which makes me hope they won't drag this part out too long. They will need to move the arc plot along in order for it to continue being interesting (IMHO). I am however enjoying the backstory for the characters (although I really don't remember the story of Jiminy Cricket -I'll have to go remind myself about that one, LOL).
Lost Girl: Interesting. I was a little disappointed that Bo didn't get to tell Mel (sp?) (i.e. the girl from her past) the truth. The way in which this happened however serve to establish certain other things...
(i) Trick knows a whole lot more than he's telling. I really wonder what he said to Hale to get him to go along -and I even wondered if Hale used a bit of siren song to get the girl to go along with what he told her. (As she did look very convinced with regards to the weird witness protection program story she'd been 'fed'.)
(ii) The Ash (or whatever replaced him) has to be the Big Bad they're going to wind up fighting.
(iii) I wonder if the pseudo-Ash-whatever ;-) is a creature that feeds on fae? There was actually one mentioned in the online comic thing for this show which was posted last year (which I read).
(iv) I would have liked to see Bo kick a little more a**. Since she's fae, I thought she was pretty strong... Also, she seemed to actually do some cage fighting in the comic (I seem to recall a scene where she won against some big beefy guy). So is it just me or is she a bit wimpy in this ep? Maybe it's because she's resisting her nature, not feeding the way she should, etc...? Just wondering here.
Anyways, just some thoughts. I enjoy these shows!!
