I just read a truly awesome author reply to a reader's review of their novel, which I discovered thanks to the wonderful ocelott.

'Fantasy author Scott Lynch shows he's a gentleman, not a bastard'.

The reviewer objects to the fact that the novel contains a black, female pirate and Lynch tells the racist individual what's what.
