Two pieces I'm working on, click here for
I'm working on this for painting 2 and really liking it so far.
The angles of the umbrella contrast the organic lines of the shawl, reinforcing the masculine and feminine sides of the painting. It is a diagonal composition, emphasized by the lighting, the arm, and the glance. I'm really excited about finishing it, I want it to have kind of a "Bacchus and Ariadne" feel. I'm thinking of making it a triptych, and having this be the center panel. The other two would be in color- my reasoning for doing the central panel in sienna is to symbolize the timeless moment the couple shares. (I may do glazes on top of the sienna and make it look like a vintage print)
This is my self-portrait in profile for advanced drawing. I toned down the chin already because it was out of control when I took this picture, and there are a few other things that need to be done, but I like it overall. I realize now my left hand is way too big.
Y'all give me feedback though because I need a fresh perspective on both of these pieces.
And by the way, I really want this wig XD
