The last time I updated my journal was when me and Michael broke up. I started dating Omar shortly after, and we broke up in August. I probably should have known that it wasn't going to last. He was 4 years younger than me, and an extreme mama's boy. He only took me out on one real date in the almost three years that we spent together. He put his best friend before me, and I really didn't like his family. He was obsessed with me putting him on my social media, and his mother had access to his bank account. During the last year 10 months of our relationship, he was unemployed and I had to take care of him. One day we were in his car, and his phone started ringing. I picked it up, and it showed the last text he sent to that number, and it said "you're welcome beautiful." I told him to take me home, and he refused to let me read the text messages. I thought that we could work it out but he blamed me for being angry, and resentful. I broke up with him, and he tried to flip the switch again by saying we're toxic, and that he was done because of my attitude. I thought it would hurt a lot more than it did but I realized the relationship was over at least a year ago.
I joined a dating app earlier this month, and a few weeks later a guy messages me. We started texting all day, and talking on the phone. Finally he asked "you know I'm in prison, right?" I literally had no idea! I should have known by the pictures, but I didn't look at the background close enough, and we would text from the time I woke up to the time I went to bed, and he would also call me whenever I wanted. He's been in prison for 11 years, and he has 16 months left. I'm not going to purse him romantically but I'd like to remain friends. That's just wild, right? I can't believe it. Obviously, I don't have much success dating.
I'm going to leave my journal public. It's been private since I first started Livejournal when I was a teenager, back when Livejournal was really popular, and I was in high school. If you'd like to add me, you can. I'll post an about me eventually.
