As I was driving

As I was driving back and forth from work today I had my radio set to a news channel on accident. When I realized what the topic was I couldn't help but keep listening. I've been noticing some animosity about this subject and would like to finally share my views in as much a centralized manner as possible.

The topic today is : The pointless war and the children who die for it

The radio was abuzz with news of children dying and a particular court hearing where a group of families have banded together to try and state claim that the government has been commiting illegal acts through this war and providing false information so that they can use this battle for some alterior motives. Each witness that reached the stand spoke out about president bush and chaney's different faults and problems and mistakes while stating that the CIA was a joke and the department of defense was rediculous.

I find it hard to believe that so many 'patriotic' american's can be so up in arms about their president.

Let me get this straight...you elected him to office twice but you think he should be impeached...wait a minute. America is said to be a government governed by its people yet people are disappointed with their choices? This comes as little shock to me as I never thought humans were capable of making decisions together. A leader is a necessity however you can't assume our leader is anything more than a figure head. Unless you spout conspiricy and are saying that the government is trying to force you into voting for people.

Look I'm not very educated on this matter but I have to say I was pretty sure that america was founded on the ability to choose collectively...if you don't feel you've been represented then do something about it...I won't be the first to say that government in general is a bad idea but if you choose to do something then at least give it your best and do it right.

And another thing...people everywhere are saying that these kids are dying for a war that is pointless. How many of them have made testaments saying that THEY think its pointless? I just want to know do the soldiers out their think what they are doing is for personal gain? I was certain that the honor of being a soldier was to serve your country and if your country elects an official who says 'go to war' than GO TO FUCKING WAR.

You've got the right to hate your government and the right to hate your president cuz hey you voted for the other guy, but you don't have the right to look at the warriors of our country and strip them of the honor of dying for what they believe in because you don't THINK its about anything.

'If you don't like your team get out of the stadium' - Stan Marsh. I'd change it to ask 'what are you doing in the stadium but eh...it'll do.
