The biggest influence on my life as a writer has been a woman named Sall McFadden. She was my english teacher in my sophomore nd junior year of high school. I adored her and she remained my friend during my senior year even though I didin't have her class any longer. She taught me to understand the writing process a little better and that I must never loose heart if I get rejected by a publisher. She told me that half of the creative writing process is getting things wrong and that is how it is supposed to be. If things are not done wrong the first time, how does one know what is right? I have so much to be thankful for when it comes to the way she shaped my writing, and I thank her everyday by writing just a little more.
hpwriting,
writer's block,
what do you have to say?
