Subject: re: Hi!
Finally tried the login for UCSD and nope, can't connect. Not exactly a shocker considering Sunnydale's still working on admitting vampires aren't just people with really bad dental insurance; remote network login from other dimensions may be a ways off. This place on the other hand is kind of awesome. If I'm reading the grad handbook right, I should be able to connect the other way around and log into their network from home.
Random words of advice:
1. Good idea: Doing stuff you've
never done before. Bad idea:
Actually playing I Never afterwards, especially when there's
sake and bottle-spinning
involved.
2. Being told that Buffy's little sister is skipping
your class because of a
Thing, which she thinks is
not a Hellmouth thing is so very weird. In the 'wow, you really are old' way. Even if she's not actually our Buffy's little sister. Oh, and speaking of weird, Parker somebody here is not only suddenly
*poof* not an only child anymore, she just found out she never was. How freaky is that?
3.
Don't milk cats. 4.
Men are bastards. Except Bridge. Which did not come from me, but ain't without a nugget of truth. In directly related news, Angel can apparently get somebody pregnant. Once. There's a prophecy. We should probably tell ours so it doesn't actually, y'know. Happen. Not that Buffy's ever gonna do the horizontal with the undead again, but there's always the chance he'll hook up with somebody he thinks won't make him perfectly happy, like this one did and... anyway yeah.
That's all the news that's news - what's happening on your side of the space-time continuum?
love,
Xander
...well that killed... five minutes. Xander sighed. If he stayed in this room much longer, he was going to end up vacuuming the bedspread, he realized. Not that he could by any stretch of the imagination be described as a cleaning-freak - he'd just been trying to make the place reasonably nice for this evening, which in Xanderese meant 'at least not a disaster area.' Somehow that turned into a battle with the stuff he'd spilled all over while working on his project thingy, though, and in the age-old war between humans and glitter, it ain't ever the monkeyboys that win. The fact that Bridge was off with his Flight workshop and the whole non-disaster-area effort was in fact for his benefit wasn't exactly helping Xander avoid obsessing, either.
So he seriously needed to get out of here before he went stir-crazy. Town
could be a thing.
