tahoe

weekend trip to tahoe was nice. went up in the morning with dad. stopped by jelly belly factory, belly flops 3 for $10. got up to northstar played a round of golf. pretty nice course, front nine goes through the trees so the holes are narrow, while the back nine is in the valley, nice views of mountains. really nice course, too bad my dad and i had to stink it up by not playing well. afterwards had a dinner at martis valley grill, on deck, pretty nice weather. wandered around the northstar village since they're doing a lot of construction, they are making an enormous pit, soon to be a parking garage/foundation. talked to a security guard and he told us a lot about what is happening in northstar and truckee area, plans and developments.
went to the donner rim trail construction/maintenence. we did it at negro canyon, interesting name. nice weather once again during work, pretty clear sky, warm temperature, occasional breeze. our job for the day was to move brush away from the trail that had been cut down the past october by fire crews who helped make the trail. we did this by either putting the brush on tarps and dropping the brush off at a closed trail, or by simply throwing the brush... ofcourse into spots that were less visible and further from the trail. we got long sleeve t-shirts from patagonia for doing the volunteer trail work, nice shirts.
after the trail work we drove home and finised off an audiobook. yes, a lazy way to read or not read a book, but i wouldn't have read the book anyway, and it makes the drive interesting also. listined to executive decision, clancy, neat book.
past two days havn't done much. i'm going to start moving stuff into the apartment soon and move out i guess? not really sure if i'd consider it move out, since that would sorta officially happen at beginning of semester? i'm looking forward to it.
