Well went to Sudbury on Wednesday of this week to pick up my so called new car, even though its a 1995 Toyota Camery.
Bloody hot while I was there, first day there on wednesday I thought I was going to pass out, spent the day running about and making phone calls and what not but luckily I got all the paper work done and lightened my wallet $85 for everything. So I owned the car then, screwed plates on and took it for a test drive. Note to self: Do not attempt to drive vehicle in the dark with prescription sunglasses on, it is very difficult and dangerous.
Went out for dinner to Montana's, damn good food. Couldn't sleep at night damn warm senior apartment living room in grandma's apartment, I say poppycock to her for makin us turn off the air conditoner, I think I lost 4 pounds and to top it off the smoke alarm went off at 1:50am then at 2:30am couldn't figure out why, must have been the humidity in the place.
Woke up at 8:30am on Thursday (today) with very little sleep from super heat. Spent the day running about trying to get my new car an oil change and top up fluids. I cannot believe how damn busy all the mechanics are in Sudbury, so went to one of them little quick oil change shops down in New Sudbury section. Then spent time trying to find out weird sound in back of car, found out its just the shocks, they should fix themselves with use as the car had been sitting in storage for a while and the shocks just need a workout.
Went to leave town on the Sudbury bypass to Sault Ste. Marie. Ended up having to turn around cause accident out in lively and the police closed the road. So I went back into town back to apartment, called OPP and found out I could take the regional 55 out through coppercliff to the bypass and get out. So I didn't get out of town till 5pm, got home at 8:15pm...really tired. But it was a lot of fun.
Pros of trip: I got myself my own car, ate good food at Montana's and Gina's over on the four corners and I saw my cousin in the hospital and my grandma.
Cons of trip: I got sun burn on my shoulders, evil smoke alarm going off in middle of the night and the extreme heat from the evil summer sun and not getting a chance to hang with anyone while there and having to spend $85 just to get my plates and little expiry sticker for the plates.
On a side note: There is an awful lot of dead squirrels and birds between Sault Ste. Marie and Sudbury, I think I dodged 5 dead squirrels and 2 birds.
