My Decision to become a Marine...
is not the result of any of the relationships I hold. Because I haven't been convinced by anyone to make this decision, nobody can deter it.
is based on sacrifice. I am not seeking a pension, benefits, nor the opportunity to kill. I acknowledge that I will receive compensation for my service, but my foremost motivation is the sake of the worldly man and the Lord's dearly beloved alike in order that the former may have the time to find Life and that the latter will be afforded the opportunity to share it.
will retire myself as a tool of service. I have unseen capacities that are hidden under laziness, or buried in unknown reserves. I expect to be made to realize these capacities that I may achieve a greater general efficiency in life, to benefit others and myself.
