has anyone ever thought about joining the army because their boyfriends did? i dont mean like.... so you can travel and live together and do the same stuff because obviously, that would never happen in reality. But.... i had never seen like... military life before i started dating Tim. nobody in my family was ever in the military so like... i never considered it as a choice after high school. Now.... i'm really smart so i plan on going to college and majoring in something, but lately i've been feeling like... i wish i had something specific that i wanted to do in life, some passion. But i dont. i have no idea what i want to do. And i've realized that i dont want a 9-5 job sitting in a cubicle in some office. I want to DO something, i just dont know what. And i dont want to end up going through college in some major and end up at a minimum wage job. I went and visited Florida State University today and i'm just trying to figure out what im going to do after my senior year. I was just looking on the ROTC page because i've really become interested in the kind of stuff Tim does in the Army. He tells me about all the stuff they do and it sounds like so much fun. Even basic training sounds like fun to me. But i dont want to do active duty or even reserves because it would make Tim and I's relationship so much harder than it already is.
Has anyone on here ever done ROTC or even army reserves? i think i read on the website that you can take basic ROTC as an elective in college before actually signing a contract to be an officer once you graduate. anyone have any info?
