Oh the drama!

Hey guys, does this look familiar?

Well, it should.C'mon, people. If you're so pathetic you need to copy-paste someone else's more-than-slightly-retarded plea for attention to get any of your own, maybe you should just give up on life. I'd certainly thank you for it ( Read more... )

I reported them too. For ripping your fic AND ripping off the "Eviler than You" comic on Deviant Art. I bet the all of their submissions are rip-offs, too. Grrrr!

You mean it's not the first offense? And here I was all prepared to be nice and give them a chance to mend their ways. Ripping off that comic actually pisses me off more, because it is a thing of beauty. ♥ to that person, I say.

Thank you for reporting them. I was planning on giving them until tomorrow afternoon to take it down, but I'm beginning to see the light. The internet may not be an easy place to police, but fucktards should be smote whenever they are found.

I love reporting plagarists because I love seeing the excuses that they come up with. I see SO MANY people copy shit on Deviant Art and when I call them on it they have one of these excuses:

1)Nuh-uh! They're, uh, copying ME!
2)My friend came over with her art and wanted me to scan it but i didn't know that she had printed it out and so I scanned it in and uploaded it and blocked out the signature in MS Paint and had no idea that I was doing anything wrong!!!1
3) I didn't know it was _____'s art!

I usually get the first one.

XD You are a true Fandom Marine, H, and I salute you for it.

Do you have a standard response for those retards? Or do you tailor each response to the plagiarizer's personal brand of stupidity?

No, I just refresh the page until I see that it has been removed.

Ah-hah, I just went and looked at her profile and found the comic rip-off, and am incredibly amused. How did s/he expect not to be reported when she admits in the "fic" itself that it's not her work?

Bah, I feel vaguely ashamed now. I feel like I'm telling off a Special Olympics athlete for not jumping all the hurdles. And I think it's probably time for me to shut up about this. But wank is so fun!

is it wank if you're right?

Hmm, good question. I suppose this could be considered wanky, since I 1) went and made an angsty irritated post about it in my LJ, and 2) other people have gotten involved. But those are relatively minor. It's when they start insisting that I'm picking on them that it really counts. Or, you know, claim ignorance and the "1000 monkeys on typewriters will eventually produce Shakespeare" theory.

I look forward to that day.

It's not a wank until we compare someone/get compared to Hitler.

You know all those rumors that Hitler was gay or had one ball or was impotent or drove his lover to suicide? Those were all coverups for the real crime: he ripped off Stalin's (or, as the fanzine community knew him, IronMan23's) Churchill/Roosevelt epic lemon series, "Fireside Romps."

Is it wanky now?

Also, the real reason the War in the Pacific started was because Emporer Hirohito posted a nasty (and suspiciously accurate) self-insertion lemon about him and Eleanor Roosevelt to the Oval Office's bulliten board.

That image is a thing of beauty. I can't stop looking.

What kind of selfish hoarder would I be not to share good wank with a fellow connoisseur? gsyh February 3 2006, 08:54:26 UTC
RL wank! 2005-03-30: tws_support: Laura K. [Krishna] buys college papers people wouldn't stop harassing her because she did a little thing known as compromising her integrity due to laziness.

FF_Anbu, i_wanked! ...and I was totally there and reading some of my comments, I sounded senile rather than passive-aggressively mocking, argh.

city-glitter, on reading her story on why she did what she did, she didn't seem like a BAD person, if the story was true, but callous and careless. I wouldn't call her a psychopath at all because it's not like she kidnapped someone and cut them open just to see what's on the inside. It was a human nature thing, which violated ethics, and probably laws too, involving money. Had I been in her place, and wanted to find out about people donating money to help an animal over the internet, I would have just tracked down and interviewed an actual source.
