The orphanage my church supports in Port-au-Prince was destroyed. From what I can tell, everyone survived, but two of the girls were hurt pretty badly. Obviously, medical and charity workers are going to be overwhelmed for a while. NBC came out and did a news segment on the church today, and we'll be doing a special collection this week to help ( Read more... )

Hmm, my brother will be moving back to my grandma's soon and it'll be easier for me to get away. (I'll feel better knowing someone's at the house with my grandma and I won't have to call someone in.)
Let's say the 31st! If something comes up I'll let you know and we can change it.

Actually, I just remembered that the 31st is our annual meeting/barbeque, so I'm likely to be there for a few hours longer than usual and don't want to hold you up. Maybe the week after that so you have time to arrange for your brother to be there, if the 24th is too soon?
