Today's was the most epic whale-watching trip EVER. Almost right away, we saw a blue whale, and followed her as she went down and came up a couple of times. She fluked three out of four times! (Fluking's where they raise their entire tail in the air as they dive deep.) As we're waiting for her to come up the final time, Wayne spots a pod of dolphins off in the distance. So we head over there, get this huuuuge pod of common dolphins swimming alongside us (being all cute and all), and shortly after, another blue whale comes up right next to us! It pooped: big, red, and stinky. But to thank us for putting up with that, it fluked too, which was ~awesome~.
Then we run into a second pod of dolphins, and a bit farther out from them is a small-toothed whale! (Most people didn't know there was another whale, because from that far away, they just look kinda like really big dolphins.) Gah so many dolphins. Happiness for me! There was a third pod off in the distance, but it was time to go in so we didn't pursue it.
As we came in, some sea lions swam next to us. Adorable. I can't wait for all the pictures from this!
