The title of this talk sounded interesting, believe it or not (even though I will never see, let alone treat, a patient). Then I read the description:
Suboptimal adherence with chronic therapy contributes to unnecessary disease progression in a substantial number of patients. Understanding and addressing the factors associated with poor adherence can lead to improved patient outcomes. Dr. Rand will discuss current research on patient, provider and therapy-related factors contributing to non-adherence, as well as clinical strategies to improve patient adherence and persistence with long-term treatments.
