On His Lover's Lips.

On his lover's lips are the words that cut him in two;

'Yours'

'Forever'

'I love you'

On his are the words:

'But'

'Everything'

'Is'

'Was'

'What will be'

But he doesn’t say them; he does not utter a single word.

Instead he pushes the foresight to the back of his mind, and pushes himself into her; the sensation he feels there is enough to forestall any guilt.

She envelops him, holding him tight in her heat and for a moment time stalls. Basking in her fire he cannot separate himself from her.

At that moment they are one; becoming something greater than the sum of the parts.
