the girls (usual crew plus claire) came over last night for 'movie night' and we proceeded to talk over breakfast at tiffany's. im still not exactly sure what its about, but i got the gist of it. i will watch it again when i get back to canada. during some random part of the conversation claire says something about how i used to have photos in my room at grad house of me as a kid. since i have become the most organized person ever and know exactly where everything i possess is, i knew where they were- i cam across these photos in a folder during the last week while packing. i think some of them are funny because i look like a boy. well not full on, but for me they were not girly photos. i was told that i still make this face:
around 1984
i still like to scream.. ;-)
there is another photo that was taken last october where im making a similar face to the above. i was going to link too and do the self glorifying side by side comparision, but i decided the recent one was too stupid. its on facebook, with all the other photos that protect the guilty. and while i was taking photos of photos, i took one of this too because the expression on our faces make me laugh. notice how i was 20 years ahead of the fashion trend with my heavy fringe.
with the grandparents
i think im age 4 here
i probably still make that face too.
today i crossed something else off the list of tourist things i need to do before i leave melbourne. i went (back) up the eureka tower. (yes, i could see my house!!) this time i took a camera, and it was a sunny day. it was about an hour before sunset so the glare on one side of the building was unreal. thankfully the outside deck is on the other corner from direction the sun sets. the outside deck was ridiculously windy and i was quite cold after i had been out there from 5-10 minutes. we didnt go out there in july, and i think it was opened, but would have been pretty cold in winter.

when i came back down the tower i walked around southbank for a bit. i could see there was a carousel near the queensbridge crossing. no one was on taking a ride when i went by. its wasnt quite grand enough to look stimulating.
