aw geez. it somehow became wednesday and i didnt post about the weekend yet. im not going to do it now because i feel tired at it is past my bedtime. the photos are on facebook so interested parties can see all the fun animals i saw in QLD.
thankfully i did not have to talk much in journal club today. that was all good. i understood the paper alright, just dont like having to talk in those situations. when kim was visiting last week we talked about JC in different labs always has a different approach to it. inn one of the labs she worked in no one ever got around to the reading the papers. in morris' lab i read the papers but like most others didnt always understand them (damn complicated brains). we used to sit in the lab for the half hour before the meeting started and talk to each other about being lost. heh.
im still out of phone credit. i was going to go buy some today but didnt get around to it. i could have bought it while i was at safeway. but, i was in the wrong queue at the checkout because i wanted to go through the express lanes. i was really late leaving lab and i expected safeway to be on the not so busy side by 6:45. it was not. i didnt have to call anyone today anyways.
when i called vodafone the other day to make sure that i can make calls overseas, the guy switched me to enable roaming. then he told me to buy the texta plan because that it the prepay that works overseas. phonetically he says "text-ah" so i wrote down "texta" like the marker (as in a sharpie) so i wouldnt forget. five minutes later i went to the vodafone website to investigate such plans and realized i was supposed to buy the TXTer plan. oops. so that is what i will be purchasing when i get around to it.
